Tracy C. Bryan, PsyD, LLC

About Me
I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2014 from the Washington School of Professional Psychology in Seattle. My training included work in community mental health, serving a population of underserved adults with significant mental illness and chronic physical disabilities, and at a university counseling center, helping students with anxiety and academic concerns, as well as individuals in considerable psychological distress.

My internship and post-doctoral training centered on women struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), and complex posttraumatic stress (CPTSD) and their long-term impacts.

I have focused my studies, research, and professional career on providing adults with trauma-informed therapy to help them understand and heal from trauma.
As a native Seattleite, one passion of mine is my love of flowers, plants, and all things green. I am calmed and nourished by nature. I enjoy gardening, reading, photography, chocolate, and cats.

About My Practice
My practice focuses on helping individuals heal from the deep wounds caused by early childhood trauma. I work with adults who have experienced childhood physical or sexual abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment, as well as adult sexual assault and betrayal trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Because relational trauma often creates isolation, I believe that healing happens within safe, supportive therapeutic relationships. I enjoy the complex and thoughtful work of helping clients transform their pasts.

My work is grounded in several approaches, including feminist, relational, attachment, and narrative therapies. I offer an affirming, empathic, and nonjudgmental space where you can begin to understand and transform your trauma. Together, we focus on your strengths and resilience, helping you to reconnect with yourself and others, cultivate self-compassion, and move toward greater empowerment and connection in the present.

As a cis woman and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I also provide evaluations and letters of support for gender-affirming surgeries.
Please note: Because of a hearing disability, I am unable to understand people on the telephone, as I cannot see your
speech to aid in comprehension. I use assistive technology
(hearing aids) in my work with clients. Email and teletherapy
are my preferred methods of communication.
Thank you for accommodating me.

As such, my practice is not a good fit for people who may need
emergency contact or have a history of suicide attempts.

When we relate to ourselves with tender self-compassion, we care for and nurture ourselves. When we relate to ourselves
with fierce self-compassion, we assert our autonomy and
stand up for our rights.
